Spring Break Cruise

This spring Taylor and I took a spring break trip to the Caribbean. We both decided a little sun and warm weather were what we needed. We had both previously taken cruises before and decided to do one again. We took the Celebrity Refection out of the Port of Miami on a 7-Day cruise. The boat was new and top-notch. We had great food and drinks, open chairs around the pool and wonderful weather.

Our first stop was in San Juan, Puerto Rico for the afternoon. We decided to walk around Old San Juan and visited Castillo San Felipe del Morro and Castillo San Cristóbal which were old forts. It was a very hot and sunny day walking around. We headed back to the boat for a relaxing dinner and drinks.

Our next stop was Philipsburg, St. Maarten. Once again, we had beautiful sunny weather. Through the ship we booked a snorkel and sail trip. It was a nice ride, but not anywhere near the snorkeling experience we had in Hawaii. It was nice to be on the water, but I’m not sure we would purchase this excursion again.

Our last stop was in St. Thomas. Since we like to Crossfit, I had contacted the local box and we dropped into Reebok Crossfit St. Thomas for a class. We had a great work out and met some new people. It was a great experience! We then had a few hours before we needed to be back to the ship and headed to a beach near the airport by cab. It was a nice beach that had a few bars and hotels, clear blue water, and minimal people. It was nice to cool off and relax after our workout.

Overall, a great trip and we were sad we had to leave the warm weather! Till next time…
