Our Hawaiian Honeymoon

We spent our honeymoon in Maui, Hawaii for 8 days. The day after the wedding we drove the 10 hours from W. Lafayette to D.C. So that we were able to unpack and repack to leave early Tuesday morning. We had a long trip to Hawaii but it was well worth the travel!

We spent the first few days in Paia at the Paia Inn which was lovely. Our room was super adorable and we had a pretty private beach. We were super close to bars, restaurants, and shops that were very reasonably priced and pretty low-key. Our activities included where waking up super early and went to see the sun rise on top of Haleakala(good thing our bodies hadn’t adjusted to the time and 2am really still felt like 8am!), sat at the beach and then drove the whole road to Hana and back around.

Our next hotel was in Ka’anapali at the Westin and it was ┬ámore ‘resorty’. We had a nice room and the pool and beach access was convienent. We spent most of our time at the adult pool where we had access to a wonderful bar! While we were on this side of the island we took surf lessons. Taylor and I were both successful sufers! On another day we took a sail to Lanai where we were able to snorkle. It was pretty cool! I would highly reccomend eating at the Lahaina Grill where we had a wonderful meal. I even ate fish and can say it was delicious!

Taylor and I spent our last two days near Wailea at the Four Seasons. This place was amazing! We spent most of our time relaxing at both the beach and pool.
